Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) software and hardware, with a focus on Linux-based environments for our existing installed base of customers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in operating systems, drivers, middleware, and test program execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve escalated technical issues and provide feedback for product improvements.
  • Support system integration, configuration, and software updates for customer deployments.
  • Assist in analyzing system logs, crash dumps, and error reports.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and training material for internal teams and customers.
  • Provide remote and occasional onsite support to global customers and manufacturing partners.
  • Participate in new product introduction (NPI) by supporting validation, software installation, and customer acceptance.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in technical support, system administration, or software engineering in a Linux environment.
  • Proficiency with Linux command line tools, scripting (Bash, Python, or similar), and system monitoring.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in software/hardware interactions.
  • Familiarity with automatic test equipment (ATE), semiconductor test systems, or similar complex instrumentation.
  • Experience with networking concepts, remote debugging, and software deployment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to both engineers and non-technical users.
  • Experience with C/C++ or Python in a test environment.
  • Knowledge of test methodologies, data acquisition systems, or device drivers.
  • Prior customer-facing technical support experience in a semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or test equipment industry.
  • Understanding of reliability, uptime, and performance requirements in manufacturing environments.
