Overview
A teacher aspires to teach in a manner and at a level which is in accordance with the school’s published "Principles of Professional Practice for Teachers at Taylor’s International School."
Responsibilities
- Teaching ICT skills to a range of Primary year groups within the school.
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging ICT lessons to a range of classes with different ages and abilities.
- Organizing the classroom and learning resources, and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment.
- Undertaking pastoral duties, such as acting as a class teacher/form teacher, and supporting students individually with academic or personal challenges.
- Achieving the highest levels of teaching and learning, with a proven track record of success in the classroom.
- Collaborating with a small team of teachers to ensure effective planning, teaching, and learning across the Primary division.
- Staying updated with developments in private and international education, particularly in ICT and digital learning.
- Managing student behavior in the classroom and across the school environment, applying appropriate and effective measures when necessary.
- Motivating students through interactive, hands-on, and engaging presentations.
- Preparing, marking, and assessing student work to support positive development.
- Meeting assessment and reporting requirements on student progress and achievement.
- Communicating with parents regarding students\' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and whole-school training events.
- Supporting and coordinating ICT-related activities and resources within the Primary curriculum.
- Organizing and participating in school events, outings, and activities which may occasionally take place after school hours or on weekends.
Job Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Education or a related field (e.g., ICT, Computer Science, Educational Technology).
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in an international school (preferably with experience in delivering ICT curriculum).
