Get to Know the Role
We are looking for a HR Executive to lead recruitment and employer branding efforts in Malaysia. You will own end-to-end hiring processes across all levels, ensuring a seamless candidate and hiring manager experience. You’ll also drive partnerships with universities and student groups. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for recruitment, strong relationship-building skills, and a creative mindset to bring employer branding to life.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for Malaysia, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offers.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and provide recruitment advisory.
- Ensure positive candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Build strong pipelines for critical and high-volume roles through proactive sourcing and engagement.
- Design and deliver training sessions for hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques, unconscious bias and candidate evaluation.
- Create toolkits and resources to support consistent and structured interviews.
- Identify opportunities to streamline recruitment processes and enhance efficiency.
- Drive university and campus engagement programs, including internships and work-study partnerships.
- Lead external employer branding activities such as career fairs, campus roadshows, job postings, and social media campaigns.
- Support internal employer branding by capturing employee stories, promoting culture initiatives, and amplifying them across internal and external channels.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics (time-to-hire, source effectiveness, pipeline quality) to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Ensure all recruitment and branding activities comply with Malaysian labor laws and HOYA standards.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain recruitment trackers, internship masterlists, and documentation for Malaysia.
- Assist with creation of localized recruitment marketing materials, internal communication campaigns, and EB assets.
- Contribute Malaysia-specific insights to global TA & EB discussions and initiatives
Skills and Competencies Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 1–3 years of in-house or agency recruitment experience, preferably in semiconductor or manufacturing
- Proficiency in recruitment tools, applicant tracking systems, and job boards.
- Experience with campus recruitment or employer branding initiatives is an advantage.
- Ability to use recruitment dashboards and reporting tools to monitor progress
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with candidates, hiring managers, and university partners.
- Proactive, creative, and able to propose ideas to enhance employer branding and candidate experience.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple roles and events simultaneously.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Travel Requirement
- Occasional travel within Malaysia for university visits, career fairs, and employer branding event
