Job Overview
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and continuously improving Aeronas Aerocraft’s end-to-end supply chain operations to support aircraft manufacturing, assembly, and certification requirements. This role ensures timely availability of compliant materials, parts, and services while maintaining cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and supplier reliability in accordance with aerospace standards.
The position plays a critical role in supporting production schedules, Part 21 manufacturing activities, and long-term industrialisation of Aeronas’ aircraft programs.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Planning & Operations
- Develop and manage end-to-end supply chain strategies covering procurement, logistics, inventory, and production support.
- Align material planning with aircraft production schedules, assembly milestones, and engineering change requirements.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of aircraft parts, raw materials, tooling, and consumables.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers in compliance with aerospace standards (e.g. AS/EN 9100, FAA/CAAM/EASA requirements).
- Establish and maintain approved supplier lists, including local and international vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times, and terms to optimise cost and delivery performance.
- Work closely with suppliers on quality, traceability, lead-time reduction, and risk mitigation.
Aerospace Compliance & Traceability
- Ensure all procured parts and materials meet regulatory, airworthiness, and traceability requirements (CoC, material certs, batch/lot tracking).
- Support Part 21 production, audit readiness, and regulatory inspections related to supply chain activities.
- Coordinate with Quality and Engineering teams on non-conformance, supplier corrective actions, and change management.
Inventory & Logistics Management
- Establish effective inventory control systems to balance availability, cost, and storage constraints.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, customs clearance, and transportation for aerospace materials and components.
- Minimise excess, obsolete, and long-lead inventory risks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Finance, and Program Management teams.
- Support R&D, prototyping, and certification phases with flexible and responsive supply chain solutions.
- Provide regular reporting on supply chain performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to management.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
- Identify supply chain risks (supplier dependency, long lead times, regulatory issues) and implement mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost, lead time, quality, and digitalisation of supply chain processes.
- Support local supplier development initiatives aligned with Malaysia’s aerospace ecosystem.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in supply chain or procurement, preferably in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or MRO environments.
- Strong understanding of aerospace supply chain requirements, compliance, and traceability.
- Experience working with regulated production environments (Part 21 / aviation manufacturing is an advantage).
- Proven experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost control.
- Good with Microsoft Project is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and digital supply chain tools.
- Knowledge of aerospace standards and quality systems (AS9100, ISO, FAA/CAAM/EASA practices is an advantage).
