Job summary

A leading service provider in the energy sector, located in Johor Bahru, is seeking a Supervisor for coal handling operations. This role involves overseeing plant cleaning activities and ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies. The ideal candidate should possess a diploma in a related field and have 2–3 years of supervisory experience in power or heavy industry. Candidates must be physically fit and able to work in shifts, with strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Job description

Supervise and coordinate plant cleaning activities across designated areas to maintain high housekeeping and safety standards.

Oversee coal handling operations including coal unloading, conveying, stacking, reclaiming, and housekeeping at coal yards and conveyor areas.

Ensure all activities comply with safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies, plant SOPs, and statutory requirements.

Monitor daily work progress, manpower deployment, and equipment usage to ensure operational efficiency.

Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and enforce the use of PPE among workers.

Identify and report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents, and implement corrective actions.

Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and HSE teams to ensure smooth plant operations.

Maintain records such as daily activity reports, attendance, safety observations, and work permits.

Assist in training and guiding workers on proper work procedures, safety practices, and housekeeping standards.

Support emergency response activities and ensure readiness of the team during abnormal situations.

Job Requirements
