Job summary

A leading bakery and retail company based in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Operations and Management Trainee. This role involves learning standardized store operation procedures, assisting in sales operations, and developing leadership skills. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, has a keen interest in the bakery industry, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills. Fluency in both Chinese and English is required, with additional languages being a plus. The position may involve rotating shifts and relocation for training.

Job description
  1. Learn and execute standardized store operation procedures (SOPs) to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
  2. Assist in daily sales operations, staff scheduling, inventory control, and cost management.
  3. Support the development and execution of store sales plans and promotional activities, and track performance results.
  4. Assist the Store Manager in staff training, performance evaluation, and on-shift coaching.
  5. Develop leadership, communication, and coordination skills, progressively taking on shift‑lead responsibilities.
  6. Coordinate front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house workflows to ensure smooth order processing, product output, and service rhythm.
  7. Address communication issues between service and kitchen teams to improve collaboration and on‑site responsiveness.
  8. Learn cross‑functional coordination, conflict resolution, and resource allocation under mentor guidance.
  9. Regularly report operational issues, risks, and improvement suggestions to the Area/Regional Manager.
