Job Overview

Implements manufacturing techniques, processes, tools, and machinery to maximize throughput; performs research on products and manufacturing processes and shares the same with senior engineers.

Responsibilities

  1. Manufacturing Process Development: Define, review and confirm the entire manufacturing process from start to finish; coordinate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) review, and initiate Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) with core team members; prepare documentation and process specifications for production; lead the team in identification, tracking and resolution of engineering issues using the Failure Analysis and Corrective Action (FACA) form; pursue continuous manufacturing process improvement with TE operating excellence tools for cost reduction.
  2. Assembly Tool, Fixture and Equipment Development: Evaluate new tool, fixture, and equipment demand/cost for new projects; design and review tooling with core team members meeting TE engineering and EHS requirements; upload all tooling prints to TE data management system (DM.TEC, PDMLink, etc.); discuss and review details of tool/fixture/equipment with outside suppliers; follow up the purchasing process to fabricate new tooling.
  3. Qualification for Manufacturing Process, Tool, Fixture, and Equipment: Condition all tools, fixtures and equipment; lead tool/fixture/equipment qualification by running samples or LVM; follow up documentation using TE standard format and obtain approvals; coordinate pilot runs for new products and resolve engineering issues to ensure manufacturing process capability meets engineering, quality and customer requirements.
  4. Technician Guidance: Coach, train and develop operators and technicians to ensure their techniques are successful and continuously upgraded.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; 7 years’ working experience in related field.
  2. Good coordination and communication skills, accountability, integrity, and customer focus.
