Ansell is looking for a Sr Manager, Global Category Management - Chemical to join our team in Cyberjaya!
In this position you will have an overall portfolio management responsibility for the assigned product category/ies including product lifecycle, technical, regulatory and quality requirements for the category/ies. The GCM plays a critical leadership role in developing and recommending the short and long term strategy and portfolio segmentation for their assigned category and in driving its execution globally.

What your role will be?
You will be:
- Manages and actively drives the overall product lifecycle of the assigned category range / portfolio, recommends and ensures execution of improvement / rationalization initiatives of existing products to increase sales and/or profitability and overall operational efficiency. Supports and drives PCDR (Product Cost Down Roadmap) initiatives where required.
- Actively contributes to the overall portfolio strategy for the assigned product/ category portfolio.
- Monitors sales and field reports, pricing levels and competition pertaining to responsible product area. Works in conjunction with regional organizations in particular with Regional Category Management and with operations to deliver agreed levels of revenue, margins and overall market share.
- Responsible for the marketing plans (including budgeting) of the product range and ensures product positioning, strategies and tactics maximize top line and margins
- In support of Vertical efforts and New Product Development, provides guidance / support in the definition, development, introduction and positioning of new products and ensures the NPD initiatives are in line with the portfolio strategy
- Project lead all new products and product changes through the stage gate process for their relevant product categories
- Act as the recognized primary point of contact and subject matter expert for assigned product category
- Works with Global Operations, provides expertise and leadership to ensure complete and accurate product specifications, operational efficiency and optimization.
- Supports product transfers/ in-sourcing or outsourcing initiatives where required and is in line with the portfolio strategy to ensure optimized supply for the portfolio range. Actively participates and provides a recommendation on Make Vs Buy strategy for the portfolio range.
- In conjunction with R&D, Sourcing and Regional Technical Services, develops and maintains a benchmarking intelligence on key competitors (capacity, pricing & product performance) for the assigned product range/portfolio
- Contributes to the development, management and improvement of product specifications, quality systems and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and company quality standards. Engages in active support of quality complaint resolution by collaborating with global QA, Operations and Regions. Managing product change control from the PPM perspective via CRI protocol.
- Actively participates in integrated business planning efforts
- Provides active support in ad hoc product management projects (digital, PIM/web-site etc)
What will you bring to Ansell?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, Category Management
- Demonstrated Product/ Category Management Success in B2C, B2B environments.
- Experience in leading or coordinating cross-functional teams
- Project Management and NPD experience is required
- PPE or Health & Safety Knowledge desirable
- Business acumen, Customer oriented and strong entrepreneurial spirit
