About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Spa and Wellness Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Spa Therapist will meet and exceed guest expectations by providing efficient and courteous Spa service in accordance with Legendary Quality Experiences. The Spa Therapist reports to the Assistant Spa Operation Manager / Director of Spa & Wellness.

Responsibilities

• To be responsible for performing treatments on guests while maintaining the guest’s comfort at all times
• To ensure that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the Spa
• Assist in the operations of all spa departments as required:
  • Front Desk
  • Spa Retail Area
  • Relaxation Area
  • Preparation Room
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Spa Suites
• Report dysfunctional equipment to Treatment Supervisor
• Maintain inventory of supplies for the operations of the treatment rooms
• Maintain cleanliness and attention to detail in spa suites throughout shift
• Attend daily line-ups, weekly and monthly spa meetings
• Interact courteously with guests and answer all spa and hotel related questions
• Perform all treatments to the highest standards
• Assist in all areas of the spa as and when necessary (e.g., relaxation area and reception)
• Conduct duties with a professional, friendly business attitude as required by the Spa Director
• Maintain current professional licenses

Qualifications

• Must possess a good written and verbal command of English and possess a relevant country Massage Therapist license.
