Job description
Position Summary

The Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) assists the Project Engineer and Project Manager in ensuring daily project activities comply with the company’s HSE policies, client-specific HSE requirements, and local authority guidelines. The SSS monitors site safety, promotes a safe working environment, and ensures adherence to all safety regulations throughout the project.

Scope Of Work
  • Study and identify job steps and associated risks involved in daily activities of Scan Rent site personnel.
  • Assist the Project Engineer in preparing and submitting HSE documentation required by local authorities (JKKP) and client project HSE departments.
  • Liaise with clients' HSE departments to obtain permits required for site activities.
  • Maintain and tabulate daily reports on site activities, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Conduct site visits alongside site representatives to ensure proper documentation, including daily maintenance records, are kept and vetted by client representatives.
  • Keep records of all submitted documentation and safety reports for management review and local authority inspection.
  • Communicate with all three CPs (Certified Personnel) regarding submissions and inspections conducted by the state JKKP.
  • Attend all PTI (Pre-Task Inspection) and PTO (Post-Task Observation) inspections with CPs and JKKP officers.
  • Maintain a record of safety documentation and certifications for site personnel, monitor their validity, and arrange necessary training.
Roles And Responsibilities
  • Safety Inspections & Hazard Management: Inspect and investigate unsafe acts, accidents, and safety conflicts on-site. Take corrective action to resolve unsafe practices and prevent accidents. Ensure a safe work environment by identifying hazards and addressing them promptly.
  • Safety Promotion & Awareness: Promote a culture of safety by actively communicating safety practices and policies to all site teams and workers. Lead safety meetings with CPs and team leaders to promote safety awareness and ensure the team is aligned with safety standards. Keep up-to-date records of near misses, accidents, and safety-related incidents at the site.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, review, and ensure the timely submission of all documentation related to safety and health compliance. Ensure that all safety documentation meets the required standards and is in adherence with established deadlines. Maintain accurate records of safety certifications, training schedules, and other critical safety-related information.
  • Training & Certification Management: Plan, coordinate, and monitor training programs for site personnel to ensure they are equipped with the necessary safety knowledge and skills. Track and manage the validity of certifications for all site personnel, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate with the project team, local authorities, and clients to ensure proper safety procedures are followed at all times. Act as the key point of contact for safety-related matters between the company, clients' HSE teams, and local regulatory bodies. Ensure smooth communication regarding inspections, permits, and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a safety supervision role, preferably in a construction, manufacturing, or similar high-risk environment.
  • Knowledge of local safety regulations, including JKKP requirements and OSHA guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively liaise with team members, clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage documentation, inspections, and training schedules.
  • Ability to identify safety hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective actions.
  • Experience with incident investigation and accident reporting.
