Job summary

A renewable energy company is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor located in Malacca City. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations and lead safety programs. Applicants should have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic and possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. This is a 2-year contract position with a 6-day working week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of SSS experience in the related field.
• Yellow book holder registered with DOSH as Site Safety Supervisor.
• Proactive self-starter with analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with updated DOSH & NIOSH requirements.
• Lead safety hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Generate reports concerning safety matters.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and investigations.

Job description

Duties and responsibilities

• To ensure the updated requirements of the DOSH & NIOSH are implemented and proper documented.
• To initiate, promote, educate, execute and implemented of safety programs and activities in continuous checks of the work-site, including proper usage of PPE.
• To lead the Safety Hazard Identification and Risk assessment and Environmental Aspect impact assessment.
• To actively monitor, audit and carry-out risk assessment of HSE operations at work-site.
• To generate report regarding safety matters to superior and Management.
• To attend all safety meetings.
• To conduct daily safety briefing before start work and documented.
• To ensure proper waste management (scheduled and hazardous).
• To conduct investigation on all accident, incident, establish and analyze roof cause for detailed assessment and implement actions.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in any field, preferably specializing in Electrical & Electronic or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of SSS experience in the related field is required in this position, preferable from solar industry.
• Yellow book holder registered to Malaysia Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) as Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) or Safety Health Officer.
• Required language (s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
• Proactive self-starter with an analytical mind and problem-solving skills
• 3 positions available. Applicants must be willing work in Melaka, Kuantan & Langkawi.
• Contract position for 2 years available.
• 6-days working (Monday-Saturday)
