A construction company is seeking a Site Coordinator in Selangor, Malaysia, responsible for coordinating fit-out works including civil, carpentry, and plumbing. The role involves ensuring compliance with approved specifications, liaising with subcontractors, and monitoring site progress. Applicants should have a diploma in a relevant field and at least one year of site coordination experience. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required, with a willingness to work overtime and travel.
Coordinate fit‑out works including civil & structure, carpentry, partitions, ceilings, wall, flooring, painting, electrical, plumbing, and M&E interfaces.
Ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedule.
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, mall management, and clients for smooth site operations.
Monitor daily site progress and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship quality meets company and client standards.
Assist in material coordination, delivery scheduling, and site logistics.
Attend site meetings, safety meetings, and coordination meetings.
Identify site issues, clashes, or delays and report to Project Manager with proposed solutions.
Ensure site works comply with CIDB regulations, local authority requirements, and mall guidelines.
Assist with handover, inspection, and rectification works during project completion.
Diploma or Certificate in Interior Design, Construction Management, Building Technology, or related field.
Minimum 1 year in interior fit‑out or construction site coordination (retail, commercial, F&B projects preferred) (Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply).
Familiar and able to read interior construction drawings and specifications (mainly English).
Knowledge of Malaysian construction practices, CIDB requirements, and site safety standards.
Strong coordination, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Willing to work overtime, weekends, and travel between project sites when required.
Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (Mandarin is an added advantage).
Company car available. Must be able to drive, pick up materials, and general workers when needed.
