Job summary

A Japanese restaurant in Kuala Lumpur is seeking customer service staff to maintain high standards of service and hygiene. Responsibilities include processing transactions, managing POS systems, prepping food items, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the restaurant. Ideal candidates should possess experience in the F&B industry and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Japanese is an advantage. This role requires flexibility in working hours, including shifts and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service with a sincere smile.
  • Process payments using cash registers and digital systems.
  • Manage walkie-talkies and POS systems.
  • Prepare sauces and condiments.
  • Keep workstations fully stocked and operational.
  • Clear soiled dishes from workstations.
  • Prepare and turnover tables for incoming customers.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.

Job description

Excellent customer service must always start with a warm and sincere smile.

Process cash, check, and credit card payments using cash registers and digital systems.

Handling and taking care of Walkie-Talkie, POS and other systems/ electronics appliances.

Prepare sauces and condiments.

Ensure all workstations are fully stocked up and is operationally ready.

Ensure all soiled dishes are cleared from the workstations.

Prepare and turnover tables for next customer.

Ensure all areas of the restaurant are clean and properly sanitized. This includes cleaning floor, cleaning utensils, serving equipment and maintaining all areas to health code standards.

Always maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards of restaurant.

Any other duties as assigned by the Outlet Manager

Requirements

Possess working experience in F&B industry (No Pork No Lard)

Good interpersonal skills and service skills

Be able to work in a fast pace working environment

Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays

Advantages

Possess working experience in Japanese restaurant will be advantageous

Proficient in Japanese language will be advantageous in order to liaise with Japanese customers
