Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of at least 30 workers
• Train and guide staff on proper stock handling, retrieval and storage procedures
• Plan, organize and supervise lorry loading activities, ensuring optimal use of space and proper load distribution to maximize delivery efficiency
• Ensure all goods received and delivered are accurate as per Delivery Orders
• Handle in-and-out stock control and maintain accurate inventory records
• Ensure all stocks are stored properly and safely at all times
• Monitor and enforce safe forklift usage; report any mechanical issues promptly
• Monitor store operations to prevent theft and loss
• Ensure the store is clean and organized
• Coordinate daily work schedules and assignments to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a storekeeping or warehouse role
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures
• Knowledge of lorry loading techniques and space optimization
• Familiarity with forklift safety procedures (License preferred)
• Proficiency in Mandarin, Malay and English to communicate with a multilingual team and suppliers
