Job summary

A leading real estate firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Retail Leasing Senior Executive. In this role, you will develop and execute leasing strategies, engage with potential tenants, and manage lease documentation. Ideal candidates have 3-7 years of retail leasing experience and strong negotiation skills. You will collaborate with various teams, conduct market research, and contribute to tenant mix planning. A degree in a relevant field and proficiency in Mandarin are preferred.

Bangsar Heights Pavilion, a trusted leader with 30+ years in real estate, is seeking a dynamic Retail Leasing Senior Executive. You'll play a key role in securing premium tenants and driving our retail portfolio growth in prime locations.

What You’ll Do:
  • Plan & Execute Leasing Strategies Support leasing plans to attract and secure the right retail and commercial tenants.
  • Source & Close Deals Identify potential tenants, evaluate prospects, and negotiate lease terms to optimize returns and tenant mix.
  • Coordinate Lease Documentation Prepare proposals and tenancy agreements; liaise with legal and management for final sign-off.
  • Manage Tenancy Lifecycle Monitor renewals, expiries, and occupancy to ensure smooth operations and minimal vacancies.
  • Maintain Tenant Relations Build strong relationships to ensure tenant satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
  • Conduct Market Research Assist in benchmarking rental rates and studying market trends to stay competitive.
  • Support Tenant Onboarding Work with Marketing and Property teams to coordinate tenant fit-outs and store openings.
  • Contribute to Tenant Mix Planning Assist in developing strategies aligned with brand positioning and customer profiles.
  • Analyze & Report Track leasing performance and generate regular reports for management insights.
  • Ensure Policy & Legal Compliance Adhere to internal guidelines and regulatory requirements in all leasing activities.
🔎 What We’re Looking For:
  • Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3–7 years' experience in retail leasing — ideally with a property developer, mall operator, or agency
  • Strong grasp of retail trends, leasing strategies, and space planning
  • Proven negotiation and communication skills with both internal teams and external tenants
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with leasing software or CRM is a bonus
  • Self-driven, results-focused, and committed to tenant success
  • Mandarin proficiency is a plus — helps in liaising with a wider range of tenants
