Job description

Tan'ck Architect is expanding! We're looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Project Architect to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in shaping innovative and impactful architectural projects that contribute to the city's evolving skyline.

Your Role

As a Senior Project Architect, you will oversee and drive projects from concept to completion. You’ll lead the design process, collaborate across disciplines, liaise with authorities, and ensure excellence at every stage of development.

Key Responsibilities

• As Team Leader to lead and manage the architectural design process from initial concept through to construction and completion.
• As client reference point of project, to deal directly, advice, structure and coordinate closely with clients, consultants and stakeholders to ensure design objectives are met.
• Coordinate and monitoring with relevant authorities for all necessary project submissions and approvals. With knowledge of DO and BP submission flow and requirements.
• Generate and evaluate design solutions that address both aesthetic and functional goals.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, sustainability standards, and industry best practices.
• Review and approve working drawings, detailed documentation, and material specifications.
• Monitor project progress and uphold quality standards throughout the design and construction phases.
• Administer contracts, conduct tenders, negotiate with contractors, and manage project delivery through to CCC.
• Provide periodic site supervision and conduct quality assurance checks.
• Chair the client and consultant meetings (CCM), technical construction meetings (TCM), site meetings etc., including preparing agendas and minutes.
• Lead the tender drawing and construction drawings. Review the said.
• Manage internal team and collaborate with external professionals and suppliers.

About You

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture or a related field. Prefer candidate who registered with LAM (Part II).
• Minimum 8 years of working experience with 5 years of experience as a Senior Project Architect, with a proven track record of successfully delivered any complex architectural projects, ie mixed development with high-rise buildings, from design to completion.
• Proficient in concept design, detailing, and construction documentation.
• Strong coordination skills with design disciplines, BIM consultants, and contractors.
• Familiar with Malaysian codes, authority processes, and PAM Form of Contract.
• Strong client management, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Skilled in AutoCAD (mandatory); familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Suite, and MS PowerPoint is a plus.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple project scopes.
• Able to work independently and within a team environment.
• Malaysian citizens only.
