A leading real estate firm in Selangor is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to ensure compliance with risk management strategies and regulations. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accountancy, along with 8-10 years of experience in risk management. Strong report writing and communication skills are essential, as this role involves preparing quarterly reports and presenting findings to senior management. Job description
Responsibilities
  • To ensure the Group's risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with applicable standards i.e. ISO31000, ISO37001 Anti-Bribery Management System and strategic imperatives of the Group.
  • To perform risk assessment, review and action planning processes for the Group with the focus on identification of the key risk exposures and mitigating action plans.
  • To review and monitor the risk action plans on a regular basis through communication with the various risk owners.
  • To conduct the PESTEL analysis on the Group and identifying current risks related to the Group.
  • To prepare, review and present the quarterly risk reports for submission to the Management Risk Team, Risk Management Committee and Board of Directors on quarterly basis.
  • Review the effectiveness of existing risk management policies/methodologies and recommend relevant changes.
  • To perform other special projects or ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superior.
  • To conduct quarterly risk challenge sessions with Process Owners (workshop sessions) for Integrated Projects and International portfolio.
  • To establish and monitor Group-wide risk & opportunity risk assessment initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance / Accountancy or related business field.
  • At least 8-10 years relevant working experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Good report writing and presentation skills.
  • High levels of business acumen. Possess a good blend of strategic and operational experience and the ability to see the "big picture" and also deep dive into details.
  • Articulate communicator and able to communicate complex concepts in risk management to business leaders and what the risks mean to their business.
