Job summary

A leading logistics company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee new site setups and expansions. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 15 years in Facilities Management, including multisite operations, and holds a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Responsibilities include coordinating contractor meetings, assessing project risks, and ensuring zero downtime for operations. This role is critical in driving the success of new facilities while meeting customer demands.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Facilities Management & New Site Set Ups.
  • Experience in Multisite & Multi-warehouse Operations is highly recommended.

Responsibilities
  • To support the business in planning the new facility setup or expansion project within the agreed completion lead-time with customer.
  • To lead and organize contractors coordination meeting prior to the kick off of any facility new setup/ expansion to ensure smooth flow of facility setup project.
  • To support the business by assessing the risk level of new project setup/ expansion project using Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) during the project planning stage so as to minimize the risk level on the implementation stage.
  • To support the business in maintaining the well being of facility and ensure zero downtime of facility & equipment operations.
  • To work closely with the Subject Matter Experts for smooth flow of new facility setup based on the program schedule.
  • To maintain close contact with the department heads and the staff to anticipate potential problems to meet the requests of customers and be pro‑active to any changes to suit customers demand by identifying appropriate preventive and corrective actions.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Facilities Management & New Site Set Ups
  • Minimum Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
  • Experience in Multisite & Multi‑warehouse Operations is highly recommended
