We are seeking an Assistant Manager Corporate Communication to lead and execute strategic communications across public, internal, investor and agency relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with business objectives, strengthening brand reputation.
- Ensure consistent messaging and strategic alignment across all stakeholder groups.
- Lead proactive and reactive media strategies to secure high-impact coverage in top-tier business, trade, and consumer media.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers.
- Create compelling narratives, press releases, briefing materials, and provide spokesperson training.
- Oversee media monitoring, analysis, and reporting on PR metrics and ROI.
- Act as the primary liaison during crisis communications, ensuring timely and effective response.
- Develop and execute internal communications strategies to inform, engage, and inspire employees.
- Craft communications for internal initiatives, organizational changes, and cultural messages from leadership.
- Manage internal channels (intranet, email, townhalls, leadership forums) to foster transparency and community.
- Collaborate with HR on change management, employer branding and cultural programs.
- Support Group Finance in developing financial communication narratives and materials.
- Refine key messages for earnings releases, annual reports, and investor presentations.
- Ensure all financial communications are clear, compliant, and compelling for stakeholders.
- Monitor analyst reports and market sentiment to guide communication strategies.
- Manage relationships and budgets with external PR agencies, media monitoring partners, and creative teams.
Qualifications
- Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 8 to 12+ years of experience in Public Relations, Media Relations, and/or Corporate Communications.
- Proven track record in managing high-profile media campaigns, crisis communications, and engaging with diverse media stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape, press relations, and digital communication strategies.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills for press releases, speeches, and media statements.
- Familiarity with financial communications and ESG-related messaging is an advantage.
- Ability to influence and build relationships with media representatives, senior editors, and journalists.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strategic thinker with creative problem-solving abilities, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement handling sensitive information and crisis situations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media management tools.
