Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Manager with strong EMS and lithium-ion battery logistics background to lead our logistics function and ensure smooth end-to-end global operations.

Responsibilities
Logistics Expertise
  • Manage logistics operations for lithium-ion battery shipments via land, sea, and air.
  • Well-versed in freight allocation rules and insurance liabilities under trade terms such as EXW, FOB, CIF, DAP, and DDP.
Freight Booking & Export Handling
  • Handle ocean and air freight bookings for FOB, CIF, DAP, and DDP shipments.
  • Ensure timely coordination with freight forwarders and China counterparts.
Shipment Execution (SAP)
  • Manage SAP split shipments and coordinate container loading at factories.
  • Troubleshoot shipping exceptions and ensure smooth execution.
Document Control & Compliance
  • Manage maritime declarations, DG Forms, Shipping Instructions, and supplementary documents.
  • Verify ocean and air waybills; manage DDP overseas tax applications.
  • Recover POD and upload to SAP for revenue recognition.
Dangerous Goods Compliance (UN Packaging)
  • Apply for dangerous goods packaging certificates for sea, air, and land export.
  • Strong knowledge in UN-certified lithium-ion packaging specifications and battery certification parameters.
Leadership Role
  • Lead the logistics team and act as the subject matter expert for all logistics-related matters.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and process improvement leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and preparing presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Familiar with SAP, Cloud Customs, and WMS systems.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics or international trade; Customs Broker / Logistics Specialist certifications are an added advantage.
  • Mandatory Mandarin proficiency (role requires daily communication with China stakeholders).
  • Solid knowledge in LMW application processes and COO processes.
  • EMS industry background preferred.
