A logistics and shipment service provider in Petaling Jaya is seeking an experienced candidate to coordinate deliveries and manage import procedures. Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate with internal parties: sales, warehouse, etc and external parties: forwarders, suppliers, customers, certification bodies, etc to ensure smooth transition of deliveries or shipments
• Manage and plan deliveries local or overseas on optimal delivery rate and routing.
• Manage import procedure including dealing with forwarder, containers/LCL shipment
• Ensure shipping documents in order to ensure smooth shipments and customs declaration
• Have experience with import document such K1, K8, K9 or any relevant documents for shipment clearance.
• Project management of delivery planning and coordination
• To monitor deliveries and to update sales team on delivery status
• To plan and issue Purchase Order and follow up on outstanding deliveries
• Manage stock ordering from inventory planning, sourcing, supplier negotiation, stock management
• Responsible for stock management and inventory planning of stock items
• Handling of stock defectives, shortages & oversupply cases from customers
• To undertake other duties as may be assigned by the superiors

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in related field (Logistics, shipment and warehousing)
• Language requirements : Preferrable Mandarin and English as this incumbent to liaison with suppliers from oversea.
