We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Executive to lead our internal accounting function. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial management, specifically ensuring our inbound tour operations remain compliant with the latest Malaysian tax and e‑Invoicing regulations.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Executive to lead our internal accounting function. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial management, specifically ensuring our inbound tour operations remain compliant with the latest Malaysian tax and e‑Invoicing regulations.

What you’ll be doing

• Full Spectrum Accounting: Manage the end‑to‑end accounting cycle and ensure monthly closing is completed within the first 7 days of the following month. The company uses SQL Cloud accounting software.
• LHDN e‑Invoicing Transition: Lead the mandatory shift to LHDN e‑Invoicing. This includes validating supplier invoices from hotels/transport providers and issuing validated e‑Invoices for international billing.
• Profitability Analysis: Monitor Gross Profit Margins for every expedition. You will be responsible for flagging high "Cost of Sales" and providing reports to management on package performance.
• Tax & SST Compliance: Review the company’s SST position regarding inbound tour services. Prepare and submit SST‑02 returns and ensure all tax‑deductible expenses are backed by validated e‑Invoices.
• Statutory Filings: Manage monthly payroll submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS) and ensure the HRDCorp levy is accurately calculated and utilized.
• Treasury: Manage banking activities across our local bank RHB and handle foreign currency translations (EUR to MYR) in WISE.

What we’re looking for

• Experience: 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in Finance/Accounts. Experience in the Travel, Tour, or Hospitality industry is a non‑negotiable requirement.
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of MPERS and Malaysian Service Tax (SST).
• Digital Readiness: Familiarity with LHDN’s MyInvois portal or middleware integration.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to identify "leakages" in tour operations and suggest cost‑saving measures.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or partially/fully qualified in a professional body (ACCA/CPA).
