Job summary

A leading construction firm in Cyberjaya is looking for an experienced project manager to oversee project implementation schedules. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years in the field and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Quantity Surveying. Responsibilities include developing schedules, monitoring progress, and coordinating with clients and authorities. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in project management tools. Willingness to travel is required.

Job description

Planning and finalising work programme for the whole development period to substantiate the project team's project implementation schedule documents for any new project.

Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules in accordance with project requirements.

Carry out the scope of works to ensure that the works are completed according to the specification (within the time, budget, quality of material, inspection, monitoring of maintenance schedule, Clients need, contract requirement and other regulatory bodies requirements).

Ensure any tasks and decision-making are made in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.

Monitor closely the implementation of work activities to ensure all related work is carefully planned and project is completed successfully.

To act on all correspondence, technical submittals and reports etc. submitted by the contractor accordingly.

Liaison, coordination and handle meeting with internal and external parties, i.e. other Divisions in the company, Authorities, Clients, Consultant etc.

Requirements

Possess a minimum a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Quantity Surveying.

Minimum 5 years experiences in related field.

Well-versed in Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project/Primavera etc.

Excellent in organizational, planning and time management skills.

Possess good communication and report writing skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Proactive and able to work with minimum supervision.

Possess good interpersonal skills with high integrity.

Good teamwork skills in collaboration, cooperation, coordination, mediation, negotiation, and exchanging ideas.

Problem-solving skills and analytic thinking.

Able to work under pressure to meet tight working schedules and deadlines.

Must be willing to travel.
