Job description
Responsibilities
  • Develop procurement strategies and policies – Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the organization’s goals.
  • Supplier sourcing and contract negotiation – Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery, while negotiating contracts to achieve best value.
  • Team management and development – Lead and manage the procurement team to ensure strong performance and continuous skill development.
  • Performance and cost management – Monitor procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier compliance to ensure value for money.
  • Compliance and ethical sourcing – Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Stakeholder and supplier relationship management – Manage effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support business needs.
  • Process improvement – Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Budget planning and control – Develop and manage procurement budgets to support organizational objectives and cost efficiency.
  • Risk management and supply continuity – Identify procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, and implement mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Industry awareness and best practices – Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to maintain competitive procurement strategies.
  • Procurement systems and technology – Ensure effective use of procurement tools, systems, and technologies to improve efficiency and transparency.
  • External and industry engagement – Build and maintain relationships with industry associations and external stakeholders.
  • Team leadership and mentorship – Provide leadership, training, and mentoring while promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
