Job summary

A manufacturing company in Rawang, Malaysia, is seeking a Logistics Lead to coordinate operations across teams and ensure timely deliverables. The role involves planning shipments, managing compliance with regulatory standards, and conducting stocktakes to maintain data integrity. Candidates should have a degree in Supply Chain Management, at least 7 years of experience in logistics, and strong attention to detail. Job description

Lead logistics operations to ensure seamless coordination between Production, Quality Control, and Marketing teams to meet the delivery schedule and quality standard.

Plan and coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper vessel/tanker scheduling.

Oversee and prepare shipping documents, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, sales contracts, and regulatory standards (packing list, proforma invoice, etc).

Monitor closely production processes, raw material, stock levels, and handling storage requirements to adjust for supply-demand fluctuations, priority changes, material availability, or unforeseen issues.

Address auditor queries and provide the necessary documentation during audits.

Ensure adherence to ISO/GMP/Halal/HACCP/FSSC procedures & address any customer complaints related to warehouse & transportation.

Conduct regular stocktakes at the warehouse and ensure reconciliations between the SAP, the weighbridge systems, and ECTS for data accuracy.

Review purchase and sales contracts to ensure accurate matching of contractual terms and delivery requirements.

Identify and resolve logistics bottlenecks, ensuring contingency plans are in place to mitigate delays or disruptions.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior from time to time.

Job Success Requirement
  • Minimum degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Must have 7 years of relevant working experience and preferably in logistics for a processing plant in manufacturing.
  • Must be precise, accurate, well organized, and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Proven experience with production and logistics scheduling with intermediate-level expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with the SAP system is a plus.
