Qualifications

Responsibilities

• To manage and monitor all litigation matters (civil, criminal, regulatory, arbitration, etc.) across jurisdictions on a continuous basis.
• To provide legal opinion, advice and guidance on a variety of legal topics and contractual arrangements to ensure that the Company’s interests are protected.
• To draft and/or review agreements and other legal documents.
• To deal with all land related matters of the Company especially on land issues in Sarawak.
• To ensure compliance with the Company’s various internal legal policies.
• To assist with any legal research as and when required.
• To liaise with external solicitors dan regulatory bodies as and when needed.
• Any other ad‑hoc legal related tasks as may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Law with at least 2 to 3 years working experience.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of land law and company law.
• Keen awareness of legal and commercial risks and the ability to establish means for managing such risks consistent with business objectives.
• Possess sound judgement when balancing legal risks against the benefits to the business.
• Dynamic, proactive and quick to adapt to any given situation.
• Able to interact confidently with members of the Company across all levels.
• Experience in corporate law is an added advantage.
