A leading food and beverage company in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Executive, Commercial Finance to provide financial analysis and insights to support business growth. In this role, you will partner with various teams to evaluate commercial performance and manage budgets. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience in commercial finance or FP&A, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel. The Senior Executive, Commercial Finance supports the business by providing financial analysis, commercial insights, and decision support to drive profitable growth. The role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders to evaluate commercial performance, manage budgets, and ensure financial discipline across trade investments and commercial activities.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support Sales and Marketing initiatives.
Partner with commercial teams to evaluate pricing, promotions, trade spend, and profitability.
Monitor and analyse sales performance, margins, and variances against budget and forecast.
Support business cases, ROI analysis, and post-implementation reviews for commercial activities.
Assist in annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and monthly financial reviews.
Track trade spend, promotional costs, and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
Highlight risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions where required.
Ensure proper accruals, provisions, and financial controls are in place.
Prepare timely and accurate management reports, dashboards, and performance summaries.
Provide insights on key financial KPIs to support decision-making.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and SOPs.
Support internal and external audit requirements related to commercial finance.
Assist in improving processes, systems, and reporting efficiency.
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.
Support month-end closing activities related to commercial finance.
Participate in business reviews and management meetings when required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or business finance.
Experience in FMCG, retail, or consumer goods industry is preferred.
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) is an advantage.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
