Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our enterprise RDBMS environment, ensuring operational efficiency, data integrity, and system security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical systems while maintaining compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibities:

• Install all new RBDMS software and databases creation according to recommended database management standards, policies and best practices to ensure consistency, effectiveness and operational efficiency of the database environment
• Perform RDBMS patches or bundled patches in a timely manner according to guidelines provided by RDBMS vendors to keep database environment secure and operating at top efficiency
• Monitor, review and evaluate all systems storage requirement including RAW disk management and develop capacity plan to forecast database growth
• Monitor and identify hot spots and manage database data files to spread I/O load for better disk IO performance.
• Review, analyze and manage all RDBMS errors with proper logging to service providers and follow up until conclusion including resolution deployment where necessary.
• Perform periodic analysis of database statistics and performance metrics to prevent any potential database performance degradation and other resource contention
• Conform to establish database standards, checklist and ensure processes adhere and comply to Group Security, BNM and ISO/IEC 20000 (ITSM).
• Perform database backup to ensure recovery of data up to the point required by the business in the event of a disaster.
• Prepare RDBMS all documentations, procedures and operational manual for effective planning reference, control and operational standard
• Provide 24×7 on callDBAsupportforGroup RDBMS on rotation and need basis to fix any system anomalies

Requirements:

• More than 3 year experience in database maintenance and administration of group IT RDBMS especially Oracle and MSSQL
• Degree computer science, computer software/computer systems engineering, electronics, Information technology, mathematics, operational research
• Deep technical knowledge of various RDBMS and operating System architecture and concepts with strong troubleshooting skills
• Good interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
• Multi OS experience such as Windows, AIX,HP-UX, Solaris and Linux
