Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Manager /Assistant Manager in carrying out daily tasks of hardware/software installation, programming, maintenance of the network, Internet and intranet sites to ensure delivery of information systems support to users.
  • Assist with the negotiation of contracts, software, and hardware license agreements, and purchase agreements for all other items that do not fall under the procurement jurisdiction of the Purchasing Department.
  • Maintain network security and the Group’s Information Systems on a regular basis and prompt immediate supervisors of necessary upgrades where relevant in order to reduce network down periods.
  • Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems to minimize information systems related to disruption to users.
  • Assist and guide new staff (information systems executives and lower) and track work progress of assigned subordinates to ensure that on the job training is adequately provided to perform on the job.
