We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support project execution within the water sector. The role is responsible for end-to-end procurement activities for water and wastewater treatment projects, including both strategic sourcing and hands‑on procurement administration. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project‑based procurement and be comfortable managing operational tasks such as purchase order issuance and supplier follow‑up.
Manage procurement activities for assigned water and wastewater treatment projects from requisition through delivery
Source, evaluate, and procure equipment, materials, and services in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets
Conduct commercial evaluations, lead negotiations, and support contract and purchase order awards
Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, quality, and logistics teams to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders and subcontracts in the ERP system
Monitor supplier acknowledgements, delivery schedules, and expediting activities
Maintain accurate procurement documentation and ensure compliance with internal procedures and project requirements
Resolve invoice discrepancies, claims, and other commercial issues in coordination with finance and suppliers
Develop and maintain relationships with qualified suppliers relevant to water treatment projects
Track procurement costs against approved budgets and report variances and risks
Support cost optimization initiatives, value engineering, and alternative sourcing where appropriate
7–10 years of procurement experience in water treatment, wastewater, desalination, or related industrial project environments
Demonstrated experience as a project buyer within EPC, design‑build, or project‑based organizations
Strong understanding of water industry equipment and packages (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, membranes, chemicals, packaged systems)
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP or equivalent preferred)
Strong commercial, negotiation, and contract management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a project‑driven environment
Clear and professional communication skills
Willingness to perform both strategic and administrative procurement tasks as required
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
