Job summary

A leading company in finance and HR is seeking a Senior/Assistant Manager – Accounts cum HR. You will oversee daily accounting operations, manage recruitment processes, and ensure compliance with tax laws. The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accountancy, strong communication skills, and fluency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia. This role is located in Penang, Malaysia, and the candidate is expected to start immediately.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accountancy or professional qualification.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to speak and write fluently in Mandarin, English, Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and banking.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and maintain employee records.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure statutory deductions are accurate.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by management.

Senior/Assistant Manager – Accounts cum HR

Oversee daily accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, banking).

Ensure accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.

Maintain complete and up-to-date financial records.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Assist in financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.

Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.

Budgeting & Cost Control

Support budgeting and financial planning activities.

Analyze financial data to identify variances, cost trends, and opportunities for savings.

Implement internal controls for cost efficiency and compliance.

Tax & Compliance

Ensure compliance with tax laws (SST, income tax, withholding tax).

Prepare and file all statutory returns.

Liaise with tax consultants and regulatory bodies when required.

Accounts & Finance Responsibilities
Financial Accounting

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: job posting, shortlisting, interviews, onboarding.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure proper documentation.
Payroll & Attendance Management
  • Oversee payroll processing (salary, overtime, incentives).
  • Validate attendance, leave records, and timesheets.
  • Ensure statutory deductions (EPF, SOCSO, ESI, medical benefits) are accurate.
Ad Hoc Duties
  • Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by management based on operational needs.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Finance /Accountancy or professional qualification
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to speak and write fluently in Mandarin, English, Bahasa Malaysia to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
  • Able to start work immediately at Lot 387,MK 12,Kawasan Perindustrian Valdor,14200 Sungai Bakap, Pulau Pinang.
