- Conceptualize concept and schematic design.
- Ensure design quality and authority compliance.
- Carry out feasibility studies and present design proposals.
- Prepare tender documentation, schedules and material specifications.
- Liaise and discuss project‑relevant issues with client, coordinate with consultants and contractors.
- Oversee progress of site work and resolve any arising issues.
- Develop ideas, considering client needs, building usage and environmental impact.
- Identify client needs and produce feasibility reports and design proposals.
- Perform on‑site visits to check project status and report on progress.
1. Feasibility and Design Support
- Support the design process to meet project objectives.
- Prepare reports on outcomes of site and zoning analysis.
- Assist in designing to the client's brief, budget, timeline and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to design development, considering technical aspects, codes, standards and best practice.
- Support design resolutions of technical issues.
- Take notes during meetings and produce meeting minutes.
2. Documentation and Tendering
- Administer standard form contracts.
- Gather necessary information for work approvals based on regulatory and legislative prerequisites.
3. Construction and Completion
- Take notes during site meetings and produce site minutes.
- Verify designs for compliance with authorities' requirements.
- Ensure construction work satisfies the design intent.
- Inspect construction work for quality.
4. People and Organisational Functions
- Collect information on continuous improvement opportunities for architectural services.
- Support the use of latest built‑environment trends and technologies.
- Promote environmental sustainability and green building methods.
- Direct and supervise architectural assistants to adhere to drawing standards and design specifications.
Requirements
- Graduated with a Masters or Degree in Architecture.
- Possess 8 years or more of working experience.
- Candidates with LAM Part III qualification are preferred.
