A leading construction firm in Malaysia seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the entire accounts payable function, including invoice handling and payment arrangements. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy/Finance and at least 3 years of experience in the construction industry. Proficiency in MS Office, SQL, and effective communication skills in English and Mandarin are highly valued. This role also involves assisting with audits and preparing financial reports.
Responsible for the entire accounts payable function such as key-in invoice, payment arrangements, AP reconciliation, AP aging management and staff claim;
Liaise with commercial and procurement team on the disputes and discrepancies invoice and other related supporting documents;
Handle daily operation matters;
Monthly bank reconciliation;
To prepare monthly project summary report and monitor the project performance;
Assist yearly audits;
Able to handle full set of accounts is an added advantage;
To perform any other duties assigned from time to time.
Requirements: -
Diploma/Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent;
3 years working experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage;
Good knowledge and basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures;
Good command of English in both spoken and written;
Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage, as the role requires regular communication and coordination with overseas project clients;
Knowledge in SQL or IFCA accounting software is an added advantage;
Good in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Points;
Good interpersonal, communication skills and proactive.
