Senior Accounting Analyst - Banking Accounting

This role is responsible for the end-to-end design, governance, and continuous improvement of global banking processes within Shared Service Centers (SSC), driving standardization and efficiency across regions. The role also includes maintaining and controlling the Bank accounts within SAP (Cash Management), processing bank accounting transactions on a daily basis following Company’s processes and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Upload or validate e‑banking uploads of bank statements into SAP to reflect all transactions in corporate cashbooks, and complete regular bank accounting transactions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations for all bank accounts under the job holder’s responsibility.
  • Review and analyze outstanding transactions and liaise with AP, AR, intercompany, Treasury, and Country finance team to book related transactions.
  • Record bank transaction entries such as bank charges, Treasury related transactions, and clear cash transactions with payroll, etc.
  • Provide bank related supporting documentation to auditors as required.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes to be more standardized, simplified, and efficient with a global view.
  • Assist the Manager with reviewing controls, KPIs, and escalated issues.
  • Help distribute workload and provide oversight where needed.
  • Support junior staff, ensure process understanding, and help troubleshoot complex items.
  • Review significant postings and ensure high‑value or sensitive transactions are managed properly.
  • Help monitor and analyze balance fluctuations, especially cash accounts.
  • Assist in responding to audit queries with accurate and timely documentation.
  • Maintain SOX compliance for banking activities.
  • Support preparation or review of banking KPIs.
  • Monitor team performance quality and timeliness.
  • Contribute to succession planning, identifying high performers for development and progression.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Qualified accountant profession is a plus.
  • Over 5 years of experience in an MNC or audit firm, with at least 2 years in a people/team management role. SAP system experience is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; humble learner, customer focused, and proactive coach.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability, change management and strategy mindset, and proven ability to effectively handle day‑to‑day operations.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize urgent situations, work under pressure.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written). Professional proficiency in Chinese (speaking, reading, writing) is a plus.
  • Well‑versed in IT skills and automation mindset.
