Job summary

A reputable accounting firm in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Account Exec cum Asst Company Secretary. The role requires proficiency in preparing statutory documents, excellent communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, and the ability to work independently. Candidates with 3-5 years of experience in accounting firms are preferred. The position offers a monthly salary between RM 3,500 and RM 5,500, with ongoing career development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Able to guide junior executive on accounting matters.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients on secretarial matters.
  • Assist external auditors with documentation and financial data.
  • Do full-set accounts and support junior executive.

Skills

Job description
Senior Account Exec cum Asst Company Secretary
  • Must have working experience in a accounting firm/secretarial firm or public practise.
  • Proficient in preparing resolutions, minutes, annual returns, and other statutory documents.
  • Familiar with latest SSM requirements including SSM online submission system (eg. MyCoID, MBRS).
  • Liaise with clients on secretarial matters.
  • Good knowledge of the Companies Act 1965 & 2016 and related regulations.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Able to do full-set account and assist junior executive in finalization of accounts.
  • Assist external auditors by providing necessary documentation, financial data, and supporting schedules.
  • Knowledge in E-Invoice and LHDN related matters will be added advantage.
  • Able to use accounting software (e.g., UBS Accounting System & SQL Accounting) to streamline accounting processes.
  • Good interpersonal skill, independent and able to communicate well with all levels of staff.
  • Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Able to guide junior executive on accounting matters.
