Job summary

A local financial services provider in Selangor is seeking a highly reliable Accountant to manage the full spectrum of company accounts independently. The ideal candidate will prepare financial reports, handle day-to-day accounting functions, and conduct periodic stock-take duties. We are looking for a highly reliable and independent Accountant who can manage the full spectrum of company accounts with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate must be able to handle day-to-day accounting functions, prepare financial reports, and work directly with auditors during the annual audit process with full confidence and accuracy.

This role also includes basic stock-take duties for selected inventory items and general office administrative tasks.

Job Description
1. Accounting & Finance (Primary Role)
  • Manage full set of accounts independently (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, etc.).
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cashflow updates.
  • Handle SST submission, payroll data preparation, and statutory payments.
  • Liaise directly with external auditors for annual audit and ensure smooth completion.
  • Maintain proper financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Monitor company expenses and assist with budgeting when required.
2. Inventory & Stock Management
  • Conduct periodic stock-take for selected product lines.
  • Update stock records, monitor discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting.
3. Administrative Support
  • Perform simple office admin tasks such as document filing, supplier coordination, and basic procurement.
  • Assist management with ad-hoc tasks when required.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience handling accounts independently.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and audit processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL).
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
