A leading technology solutions company in Malaysia is seeking a Facilities Security Officer to manage security operations and ensure a safe work environment. Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, maintaining access control, and managing security incidents. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience, understanding of health and safety regulations, and strong organizational skills. This role will require effective communication with various stakeholders.
Incumbents may determine best methods and procedures to follow to complete assignments. Tasks are very complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Decisions/actions may have an impact on the department's goals and may go beyond the department. Works under minimum supervision. Situations not covered by standard processes, procedures and methods are referred to manager or expert resource. May provide functional guidance to others performing similar work. May be considered the expert in areas assigned. Builds internal and external relationships that require exchanging information and providing some explanations in a problem solving capacity.
Responsible for the protection of Celestica assets and to respond to alarms, emergency situations and to assist employees with security issue as part of our mission to provide a safe work environment.
Responsible for maintaining appropriate access to all areas of the facility for both employees and customers.
Resolves potential physical security issues and dangers.
Controlling daily security operations including incident investigation, property passes, loss prevention, and all administrative duties required at the site.
In-depth knowledge of facilities management and operations.
Understanding of environmental, health and safety regulations (local and government).
Good organization and project management skills.
Ability to evaluate problems and refer to higher levels for solutions.
Able to effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external customers.
Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
Duties may require extended hours of standing and walking.
Three to five years relevant experience.
High School or equivalent (basic numeracy and literacy).
Educational Requirements may vary by geography.
