Job summary

A security services company based in Malacca is seeking security officers to assist with safety matters, manage communication with outsourced security operations, and record any incidents occurring on the premises. Job description

1. All security officers are under department of Encore Safety & Security Department which is directly answering to Encore Melaka Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operation Officer (COO), General Manager (GM) and Security Head of Department.

2. All security officers are:

• a. To assist;
  • All departments regarding safety and security matters.
  • Emergency Response Team (ERT) when emergency situation arise.
  • Hostel warden in any incident inside the hostel area (if required).
• b. To manage;
  • Communication with outsource security company to ensure smooth running daily operations.
  • IOC and occupy it all the time.
  • All keys of building (Theatre, Hostel, Parking and Office) and control the use of keys to all access on buildings and security/guard equipment storages.
  • Outsource security guards of daily operations duties and attendants.
  • Matters related to substitute service draftees, including dividing and allocating tasks for them; supervising their daily life and leaves; evaluating their performance; providing counselling; providing care and support, etc.
• c. To record;
  • Any incident occurs in the premises.
  • All outsource guard’s details including bio-data and security vetting.
  • Investigation of any incident reported by finding proofs and evidences.
  • Checking of belongings with approval of upper management.
  • Safety briefing to the contractors before doing any works.
  • No security threats towards the company.
  • All the road and parking area are at all times in good order and free from congestion of motor vehicle and other articles or material to be left there on.
  • Full awareness of the any suspicious activities. If any misconduct, incident or suspicious activities spotted, the security officer need to inform his higher superior to conduct further investigation or any related action.
  • All Fire Alarm System functioning and well maintained.
  • All Electronic Magnetic Lock (EMP) are in good condition and well-functioning.
