Job summary

A healthcare facility in Kuala Lumpur is looking for an experienced nurse to assist in catheterization procedures. The role requires maintaining aseptic techniques and ensuring a sterile environment. Candidates must hold at least a Diploma in Nursing and possess strong knowledge of cardiovascular nursing. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Candidates should have over 2 years of experience in a Cathlab and valid certifications in BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing; post‑basic perioperative certification is advantageous.
• Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and competency in BLS/ACLS.
• More than 2 years of experience working in Cathlab.

Job description

Maintain strict aseptic technique and ensure a sterile environment during all catheterization procedures.

Prepare cathlab instruments, consumables, specialized equipment, and room setup according to surgeon and procedure requirements.

Assist cardiologists during invasive procedures, anticipating needs and ensuring safe perioperative workflow.

Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and clinical progress throughout the procedure and recovery phase.

Adhere to clinical governance, infection control policies, safety standards (IPSG/MPSG, MOH, MSQH), and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing; post‑basic perioperative certification is advantageous.
• Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and competency in BLS/ACLS.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular nursing, sterile technique, and cathlab procedural workflow.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a high‑acuity environment.
