Job summary

A global science company is seeking a Sales Representative for its Personal Safety Division. The role involves managing sales activities, developing strategic marketing plans, and maintaining relationships with key customers. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Science or Engineering, along with sales experience in Personal Safety products. Strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills are essential for success in this remote position that may require commuting to the office in Penang as needed.

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Manage Personal Safety Division (PSD) portfolio penetration within key end user and distributor customers. Drive key customer opportunities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans, sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate and regional sales objectives
  • Execute marketing plan by actively preparing sales through cold calling networking, and initiating sales prospects
  • Research and monitor competitor sales and marketing activities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. Actively develop and maintain relationships with target customers
  • Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all materials, communications and events
  • Implement sales forecasting activities; achieve or exceed annual business targets
  • Represent company at exhibitions, seminars and trade association meetings to promote brand recognition in accordance with company objectives
  • Provide Personal Safety Division portfolio training and support to both internal key stakeholders and external customer base
  • Work with total PSD sales representatives to drive and develop the business; work on those leads and convert them into business
  • Timely reporting into CRM system
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • P referably majored in Science or Engineering
  • New Grad is welcome
  • +/- 5 years of combined experience in Industrial Sales and/or Safety Marketplace Sales. Experience in sales of Personal Safety products (Personal Protection Equipment/ Fall Protection/ SCBA)
  • Preferred experienced in fall protection and Project Management
  • Strong background in Key Account focused sales activity. Exhibits strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Experienced selling through various channels along with end user selling
  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of product lines, customer_TLS segments and their needs, internal functional needs, and competitive products, prices and policies
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with different stakeholders
  • A self-starter who can effectively work in a fast-paced environment, and work through as well as manage change/ambiguity, with an appropriate sense of urgency. Possesses strong problem-solving skill
  • Experienced with MS office and has the ability to understand technical diagrams (Autocad)
  • Good presentation & communication skills. Communicates fluently in English and Bahasa.
  • Ability to influence, communicate, and negotiate across all levels in Hvis organization
  • Able to leverage working relationships with key people in accounts and/or distributors at all levels to exceed sales objectives
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Location: Remote/ Malaysia — This is a remote-based role; however, candidates must be able to commute to the Penang office as needed
