Job summary

A Japanese trading company is hiring for a Sales or Business Development position in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of B to B sales experience and preferably 2 years in the resin or plastic industry. The role includes making cold calls, promoting eco-friendly materials, and learning equipment usage for plastic processing. A company car is provided for sales activities, and business trips may occur every 1 to 2 months.

• Sales areas include Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, and Penang.
• Business trips required once every 1 to 2 months.

A Japanese trading company mainly trading industrial materials, machinery or parts, and plastic & resin products.
Company car will provide for sales activities.

Mainly doing Business Development.

Responsibilities

• Making cold calls (using past company lists and records, company referrals, and handling inbound inquiries)
• Handling resin material from client and promote to their current/new customer
• Product is mainly environment material like bio‑plastic etc (Customer mostly local companies from food category, or packaging industry etc)
• First, they will teach and try to handle the machine parts of Extrusion machine and know how to process the plastic and resin material.
• Sales area: Mainly KL, JB, Penang.
• Business trip will be required maybe once in duration 1 to 2 months times.

Qualifications

• 4 years B to B sales experience (MUST TO HAVE)
• Min 2 years experience working in resin or plastic industry (Extrusion) – (process engineer, sales engineer are welcome) (Prefer to Have)

Work Hours

Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm.
