Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales strategy, team performance, and market growth for solar energy solutions. This role focuses on driving revenue, building strong customer relationships, and collaborating with technical and product teams to ensure accurate, competitive, and technically sound proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve targets and high performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with EPCs, distributors, and key clients.
- Oversee proposal preparation, pricing, and tender submissions.
- Collaborate with Pre-Sales Solutions and Product teams to ensure technical accuracy.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging solar technologies.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and partner meetings.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 5–8 years of sales experience in the solar or renewable energy sector, including 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience working with EPCs, distributors, or system integrators is preferred.
- Technical understanding of inverters, batteries, or PV system components is an advantage.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Understanding of solar PV system components and design basics.
- Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and reporting dashboards.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and product teams.
