A leading battery supplier in Malaysia is seeking a Sales Manager, Network Development for the B2W segment. The role involves driving sales growth by managing relationships with workshops, ensuring they receive competitive pricing and products. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies, managing pipelines, and collaborating across departments. Ideal candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in dealer management or operations, demonstrating strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
The B2W Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within the Business-to-Workshop (B2W) segment by developing strong relationships with independent workshops, service centres, and automotive repair businesses. This role ensures workshops receive the right battery products, competitive pricing, fast delivery, and consistent support.
You will lead the B2W channel strategy, manage sales pipelines, maintain key accounts, develop new workshop partners, and ensure revenue targets are achieved.
2. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute B2W sales strategies to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Identify new workshop prospects and convert them into active clients.
Upsell and cross-sell battery ranges based on workshop needs and vehicle demand.
Monitor competitor pricing and adjust sales approach to maintain competitiveness.
b) Workshop Relationship Management
Build long-term, trust-based relationships with workshop owners and mechanics.
Conduct regular visits to workshops to understand operational needs and challenges.
Provide product recommendations, technical information, and after-sales support.
Handle inquiries, complaints, and urgent requests promptly.
c) Operational Coordination
Coordinate with warehouse/logistics to ensure timely delivery of batteries to workshops.
Ensure stock availability for fast-moving battery models.
Track B2W orders, monitor fulfilment status, and resolve delivery issues.
d) Account Management & Reporting
Manage key accounts and maintain an updated customer database (CRM or internal system).
Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports, including performance analysis and forecasts.
Monitor ageing reports and support credit control to ensure timely payments.
Gather insights on workshop demands, market trends, and customer preferences.
Benchmark products against competing brands and propose promotional activities.
Suggest product improvements or new SKUs based on workshop feedback.
Work closely with the Marketing team to develop B2W-focused campaigns.
Collaborate with Technical Support for product knowledge sessions with workshops.
Coordinate with Operations for smooth order processing and delivery.
g) Cross-Department Coordination
Work closely with Digital, Finance, HR, Asset & Product teams on dealer-related matters.
Follow up with internal departments regarding dealer requests (system tickets, stock, equipment, recruitment, invoices, etc.).
Act as the main liaison between BBuddy and HQ nationwide.
Lead and supervise the BBuddy team (Salesman / Key Account Executive).
Provide guidance, performance evaluation, and mentoring to team members.
Build a high-performance culture aligned with company values.
3. Requirements (Qualifications & Skills)
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Operations, Finance, or related field.
Diploma holders with strong experience may also be considered.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, dealer management, franchise/retail management, or similar field.
Experience managing multi-location outlets or dealer networks is an advantage.
Skills
· Strong sales and negotiation skills.
· Good understanding of workshop operations and automotive market.
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to work independently, meet targets, and handle fieldwork.
· Proficient in CRM systems, Excel, and reporting tools.
· Possesses own transport and willing to travel frequently.
