Job summary

A leading technology company in Malaysia is seeking a Sales Manager with expertise in Field Application Engineering. The role involves achieving sales targets, managing customer relationships, and providing technical support throughout the design-in process. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering and 5-10 years of industry experience. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential. Willingness to travel regionally and internationally is required.

Qualifications

Sales Manager (Experience in Field Application Engineer)
Field Application Engineer (FAE) cum Sales Manager

Develop regional and account plans to achieve sales targets and margin objectives.

Build and maintain executive relationships with customers and selected distributors; lead negotiations on pricing, forecasts, and contracts.

Provide technical support to customers and selected distributors throughout the design-in process.

Lead customer design-ins and product adoption initiatives; coordinate evaluation builds, samples, and field trials.

Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and training for both engineering and procurement stakeholders.

Collaborate with product management, R&D, manufacturing, and marketing to capture customer requirements and influence product roadmaps.

Maintain and grow a robust sales pipeline in CRM; forecast sales and report monthly/quarterly territory performance.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer roadmaps; translate insights into go-to-market adjustments.

Represent TDK at trade shows, industry forums, and customer executive briefings.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor or higher in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.

Knowledge of semiconductor application or knowledge of LV Electrical Distribution system will be an added advantage.

Proven track record in Electrical / Electronic industry with experience of 5-10 years.

Strong business and technical acumen to engage product and applications teams and to support customer design-in discussion.

Experience with CRM and forecasting tools and strong analytical skills to manage profitable business and pricing.

Excellent listening & communication skills with the ability to influence others and to build strong business networks at different levels of the organization.

Good judgement, autonomously working style and good interpersonal skills

Proactive and open-minded personality with passion to work in Cross Cultural Environment

Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as required.
