We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Engineer / Product Specialist to drive sales growth for SFE Group's high-quality welding and fabrication products across Malaysia. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys technical engagement with customers, and is passionate about developing new business opportunities.

You will be responsible for building and managing the sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure, while providing expert technical guidance on metal works and welding applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively develop and manage a robust sales pipeline for SFE Group's orbital welding systems, portable machining tools, pipe cutting/beveling equipment, and related fabrication solutions.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities in key industries (e.g., oil & gas, manufacturing, power generation, aerospace, and infrastructure).
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and hands‑on trials to showcase equipment capabilities.
  • Build strong, long‑term relationships with clients, distributors, and industry partners.
  • Provide pre‑ and post‑sales technical support, including advice on welding processes, metal fabrication techniques, and application‑specific solutions.
  • Achieve sales targets through effective negotiation and deal closure.
  • Travel extensively within Malaysia to meet clients, attend industry events, and perform on‑site demonstrations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical sales or business development, preferably in welding equipment, metal fabrication tools, industrial machinery, or related fields.
  • Strong technical knowledge of metal works, welding processes (e.g., orbital TIG welding, pipe welding, beveling), and fabrication techniques.
  • Proven track record of building sales pipelines and closing deals in a B2B environment.
  • Self‑motivated, driven, and resilient — not afraid to "get your hands dirty" with field work, equipment setup, and hands‑on demonstrations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently across Malaysia.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred (diploma holders with strong relevant experience will be considered).
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus.
