Job description

To enforce Occupational Safety & Health Act (Osha) at all work site.

Formulate safety & health policy and to set-up safety & health committee.

Conduct safety induction and safety briefing to all site personnel.

To inspect worksite hazard and prepare risk assessment.

To carry out regular safety visit, audit and inspection.

Liaise with JKKP/DOSH and authorized department (eg. Bomba, Jabatan Kesihatan, CIDB and etc.)

Prepare Monthly Safety Audit Report to the management.

Conduct safety & health meeting and attend other meeting if requested.

Work closely with the Project Manager pertaining to safety requirements.

Supervise observance of these legal requirements and promote safe conduct of work.

Advise management of changes in safety legislation and all matters pertaining to occupational safety, health and environmental.

Determine the cause of any accident or dangerous occurrence and recommend means of preventing recurrence.

Keep up to date with recommended codes of practice and new safety literature; circulate information applicable to each level of employee.

Any other duties that may be assigned by the Senior Manager Safety & Health /Managing Director from time to time.

Requirement

A registered Safety Officer with DIOSH/NIOSH/JKKP with Green Book holder

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent

Minimum 5 years working experience in Safety & health aspects preferably in high-rise construction environment

Able to work independently and good communication and supervision.
