A safety consultancy firm based in Klang City is seeking an experienced Occupational Safety & Health Officer. The role involves conducting safety inspections, implementing OSH programs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience and is registered with DOSH. Strong communication and risk assessment skills are essential. To provide expert input in terms of planning, organizing and implementing the best practice of Occupational Safety & Health to the relevant stakeholders in the workplace.
To perform regular, systematic, holistic and scheduled safety inspection on all safety related machinery, process, equipment, substance and others in the workplace.
To report inspection findings in a highly professional and transparent manner, including but not limited to Unsafe Condition, Unsafe Act and any potential harmful hazard identified by all level of worker.
To plan, recommend and implement on action taken in risk mitigation related to the inspection findings.
To conduct comprehensive investigation on any accident, near misses accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational disease & poisoning and others in the workplace as per JKKP 6, 7 or 8 format and DOSH requirements.
To report investigation outcome and root cause in a highly integrity, professional and transparent manner
To plan, recommend and implement on action taken in risk mitigation related to the investigation report and root cause.
To prepare, plan, organize and implement OSH related programs and activities on a monthly and yearly basis.
To perform post OSH programs, review in order to obtain feedback for further improvement.
To prepare, plan, organize Safety and Health Committee (SHC) meeting as per regulatory requirements.
To prepare all relevant OSH related report in a timely manner as per requirements, but not limited to:
a) Occupational Safety and Health Officer Report
b) Monthly OSH Management Report
c) Related Safety and Health Record Report
To manage Legal Register and Compliance related document in the aspect of new documents development (Manual, SOP, etc), maintenance and enforcement.
To ensure OSH Policy is well communicated and implemented for every worker in the organization.
To implement OSH related initiatives and standardization as planned by group and corporate management.
To prepare Occupational Safety and Health Officer Report in a timely manner as per requirements.
To lead the organization in the aspect of internal audit, management review and external audit processes.
To lead the organization as Management Representative when OSH related audit conducted by internal and external auditor.
To engage with the relevant internal stakeholders in ensuring updated ERT membership, good condition of emergency related facilities and equipment and preparation renewal of Fire Certificate and SPKA System
To engage with relevant external stakeholders like DOSH, Police Department, Hospitals, Local Council and others in emergency response related plan in mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery phases.
To ensure good machinery certificate of fitness renewal with DOSH via MyKKP System
To detect and inspect potential harmful hazard due to poor machinery maintenance and record.
To maintain and update record related to Chemical Safety Management (SCM) regularly as per regulatory requirement.
To ensure HIRARC is implemented and enforce at all work units involved in chemical handling, storage, transporting and disposal.
Competency as Safety & Health Officer.
Registered SHO with DOSH.
Minimum 3 years experiences as practicing SHO
