Job description

We are looking for a Safety and Health Officer to join our team at Kota Menara Ufuk Sdn Bhd, a leading construction company located in Pasir Gudang, Johor. As a contract role, this position will play a crucial part in ensuring the health and safety of our workforce on construction sites.

What you'll be doing

Implement and ensure all policies, activities, procedures of the Company's Safety and Health Management System are in compliance with the Act and Regulations and continuously review.

Comply with the legal and other requirements that applicable to the organization.

Conduct safety induction, safety briefing and regular tool-box meeting to the site personnel.

Carry out regular inspections, accident/ incident investigations, hazard identification, risk assessment, risk control measures and follow up on job safety analysis.

Responsible to ensure site safety compliance through site audit and issue CAR reports for compliance.

Prepare monthly Safety Audit Report to the Management.

Advise management of changes in safety legislation and all matters pertaining to occupational safety, health and environment.

Liaise with JKKP/DOSH and relevant authorized Department (e.g. CIDB, Bomba, Jabatan Kesihatan and etc.) to maintain company progressive safety standards and requirement.

Keep updated with recommended code of practice and new safety issues and circulate information applicable to each level of staff including sub-contractors.

Act as Management Representative of OSHA 18001.

Any other duties that may assigned by the General Manager or management from time to time.
