A leading hotel management organization is seeking candidates for a role focused on guest relations and managing the Rooms Division. Responsibilities

  • Establish rapport with guests, maintaining good customer relationships and handling complaints.
  • Ensure all services in the Rooms Division are available and conducted efficiently.
  • Assist in developing Department Operations Manual reflecting policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and update the Rooms Departmental Budget in cooperation with the Director of Rooms.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Establish rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationship and handle all guest complaints, requests and enquiries on Front Office services
  • Pro‑active in seeking guest contact and maintaining excellent public relations.
  • Periodically inspect rooms to ensure cleanliness and the maintenance of rooms.
  • Constantly aware of new market trends and activities of competitors ensuring that the operation is always one‑step ahead of the competition.
Operations
  • To ensure through effective supervision that all services offered in the Rooms Division are always available, and are carried out with the utmost efficiency and courtesy as per the Operation Manual and Brand Standard.
  • To represent the Rooms Division Department on the Hotel’s Executive Committee.
  • To constantly review and evaluate all divisional operating standards and procedures to ensure the highest level of guest service is adhered to at all times.
Administration
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of a detailed Department Operations Manual that reflects policies and procedures, work processes and standards of performance within the Division. Ensures annual review to accurately reflect any changes.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the annual Rooms Business Plan ensuring Divisional Objectives fully address business objectives of the hotel and needs of employees.
  • Responsible for the preparation and regular update of the Rooms Departmental Budget, in close cooperation with the Director of Rooms ensuring targets are met and costs are effectively controlled.
  • Ensure that all Rooms Division related forms and reports are forwarded in time to the Corporate/Area Office.
