Job description

The Resident Engineer is responsible for the overall electrical works at the plant. This includes Vendor management and supporting Production to resolve any electrical issues.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare and execute Preventive Maintenance Activities such as scheduled preventive maintenance checklist, planning and unplanned line stop schedules for all the process equipment and associated utilities in plant.
2. Request and propose alternative solution on Repair and Maintenance, spare parts and 3rd party maintenance needed requisition by engineers to smoothen maintenance activities.
3. To propose on yearly departmental budget for repair and maintenance, spare parts and 3rd party maintenance requisition.
4. Provide recommendation for any issue related to electrical and machineries.
5. Drive and execute continuous improvement program.
6. Responsible for machine installation, commissioning and collection of commissioning data.
7. Liaise with vendor (local and overseas) to solve production issue.
8. Support production whenever is necessary.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

• Degree in related field with 3 to 5 years of working experience in manufacturing industries.
• Strong in electrical and control system such as PLC programming, SCADA/ HMI design (optional), hardwiring and electrical and electronic hardware.
• Preferable experienced in Siemens PLC.
• Strong in electrical and control system troubleshooting.
